The Maker movement is a renaissance of ingenuity and innovation, encouraging the individual as creator rather than consumer. Maker Camps at the Okefenokee Regional Library System (OKRLS) are a series of workshops for kids and adults that explore different skills through hands-on projects. The camps are for anyone who is interested in DIY, making, creating, crafting, hacking, tinkering, and learning. Camps run at all five OKRLS branches: Ware, Pierce, Appling, Bacon, and Clinch. The summer of 2016 marked the first OKRLS Maker Camp.
